It means “getting up on stage”. This is the debut performance to showcase the learning of the art form for several long years of training.
Bharatanatyam is the oldest classical dance form originating from Tamil Nadu, India. The flexibility of the Bharatanatyam framework lends itself well to both traditional themes as well as modern day subjects.
Traditional Indian attire worn by the host, hostess and teachers. Guests can wear formal or business casual. No jeans or T-Shirts.

Each item is roughly 7-10 minutes. The Varnam - the centerpiece is about 30 minutes.

a) Snacks before the event begins is served between 3:00 - 3:30 PM b) Full dinner is served after the event around 7:00 PM
